    Ah, thanks for the link. I don't recall seeing this one before - it's beautiful! Actually, I'm going to put it in my favorites folder so I can be further inspired by all the wonderful aspects of it. The pencil version, too.

    Thanks chashio. After i said about Frosthaven I realized I had done another map recently that had the light from the left.
    It's like I don't even remember my own work.

    Well, the lighting angle isn't the main subject/aspect of a map, generally speaking.

    this is beautiful J. Edward. I really like your cliffs! I love the way you do your elevations. The colors are really nice, and easy on the eyes. I also really like the waterways. You always have such delicious textures!

    Thank you Odo One of the best things is if a map gets you to think and feel about a place... makes you want to adventure there.

    For textures, I try to make all of them myself, usually from scratch for each map.
    I've gotten faster at it, which is good. Used to take me a long time to do.
    It just gives each map its own special feel.
