Okay, I tweaked a bit. Does the labels work better now?

Hi, I would suggest to fix the direccions of the labels. For example, some of yours white labels are curved and others are plains, maybe you have to choose one. That will help the reading, I think.
Great looking map! It has a saturated, vibrant feel to it.
I don't think the labels are as big an issue as you think. Looking at it with fresh eyes it looks great, especially after your tweaks.
I agree with Simkin, if you keep the labels more uniform and perhaps with only two directions mostly straight flat and curved diagonal.
All different directions can make things look more fussy.
(Another idea is to keep the label text all white, and use a soft round brush to colour the base terrain behind it. I think what you have currently also works though)

Yeah, I'll think about changing some of the lighter ones. It is a bit of a hard decision, but I'll see.
Thanx a bunch
Yeah, I hear you. Though, for one it took a quite the marathon to curve those Labels, so I have to weigh the time it will take to change them. But it is maybe something I can consider on a next map. So tx.
