I think it is worth adding them - it adds something to what would otherwise be a very large, empty room.

Another thing, your compass looks very off - it doesn't look isometric like the rest of the map.
My new Deviant-thing. I finally caved.

Added some doodads to the rooms. The chests that have an outer glow are intended that way; they'll be glowing in-game.

I'll see what I can do about the compass. I just grabbed my standard compass and skewed it. Hopefully I'll have time to make it isometric.

Stretching it up and maybe rotating a bit should be enough, just to about match your grid lines. It looks good in the inset map.

Just the right amount of Do-Dads. It looks great.

I added a few more doodads and fixed the compass before I saw these last two posts. =D Any thoughts on this version vs. the one I posted at 12:58 pm today?

Some of the old folks still tell tales of the heroic Gryphon Riders, knights in steel blue armor who battled the insane demi-god Zurzavar and his black dragon, Kaos. Legend has it that the final members of their order are entombed in a hidden chamber deep within the towering mountains of Penryth. The myths speak of a path through the Shrouded Forest, a path marked with ancient runes and cairns, which starts upriver from the sleepy town of Holdfast. Is there such a path? Does it truly lead to an entrance to the mountain? What treasures might await the brave adventurer who seeks the tomb? There is but one way to find out...

Decided it'd be cooler to incorporate the lore in my entry! I ran outside and took a photo of my wood mug full of tasty beer. I considered adding a knife (and have a top-down photo of that, too) but it seemed too distracting.

It needed a little shadow, especially the mug o' beer.

Thanks, Bogie! It was your various top-down map elements that inspired this particular presentation.
