    Thank you folks.

I got to be honest, I'm surprised anyone likes the lettering. But you can't learn without doing, so I'm glad I did it anyways. Also my choice of paper is partly to blame, it's too toothy and absorbent for pen, but I just bought some nice big pads of smooth white paper since there's a bunch of back to school sales on now. Great time to stock up supplies

Loving this, it's great that everything is done by hand on paper. I really like the hand lettering, as you say it matches the atmosphere, and ties the whole work together and makes it unique.

Whether to colour it or not is a hard choice as it looks great as it is, if you do go for it I'd keep it really light and subtle. I've played around with taking the colour off mine (photoshop layers ) and I really like it, but can't decide if it's better or not.

Well I opened it up to colour it a couple days back since I saw everyone coming in with their great entries but looked at it and changed my mind, I kind of figured it has a real "on paper" feel to it and that I should stick with that. So I experimented on scrap a few ways to push the depth but didn't come up with anything successful really, and then just decided idiotically to speckle the floor with no experimentation, and even more idiotically no masking. After that I felt since it was messed up anyways, I might as well distress the paper and so I did, which is ok, but it kind of washed away the legitimately accidental wine stain that was there. In the end it's got some pluses and minuses but I'll run with it anyways.

Oh I like it much better like this. It looks more like a map that's been carried around in a cave system now. The previous version looks too clean in comparison

This is really well done, I like the inner cliffs, the story is great also and like the pigeon hole drawing and its composition on the page, good luck in the voting, you'll get mine and a rep, nice job!
