Assuming I stick with fantasy cartography, I'd like to become a World Builder, laying out not only a realistic topography, but also the geopolitical boundaries and at least rough descriptions of the countries and societies.

Assuming I stick with fantasy cartography, I'd like to become a World Builder, laying out not only a realistic topography, but also the geopolitical boundaries and at least rough descriptions of the countries and societies.
Looking at the WIPs it's one of the funniest challenges so far.
man this brings back the memories. I did a diorama back when I wa in university and entered it into a contest (did other entries too, and won lots of prizes yay).. it was a "goblin war giant" (this one, actually!) supported by 2 dozen orc archers and a battle mage. I redid the platform with balsa wood, making it 2 tier and building 4 ballista to mount up top.
I titled it "Orc Light Reconnaisance Patrol". first prize, woot.
I wish i knew what happened to it.. or that I'd taken pics.. *cry*
