Impressive and beautiful. All those details in the sea and the frame makes it very special.

Sadly I'm not allowed to show this larger, but the original file is about poster size.
It's kinda frustrating to not see all the elements in their whole glory. Anyway, that's gonna be superb poster.

@Meriba: The labels are readable in the original size and in print. =)
@Ilanthar: Thanks and yes, very sad. Thanks for the rep, too!

"Awesome" is the best word to use. I really like this, though I worry the incredibly detailed sea overshadows the land a bit? It's not a problem if that's what you're going for, but since the land is also labeled and detailed, it looks like it's not. In any case, have some rep!

Thanks, GreatWhiteNorth! =) The details on the water are very contrasted in comparison, that's why I decided to keep the land a bit lighter.

Btw, the second one I promised is up here: Link to the second one. Hope you like this, too.

    Hey guys! =)

I did a little step-by-step of this map. Well, luckily I saved them and therefore I made a quick-&-dirty PDF in which you can see what I did exactly. I will post this here and in the initial post for you to download if you like.

Amazing! I love the color palette on this one and the details are fantastic. I agree with the other posts that the text is challenging to decipher. Would love to see this thing printed at full scale. I especially appreciate the hand drawn boats. Nice work!

    Thanks you two! =)

This is available in a print version in Germany. But there is a good chance (after the very successful Kickstarter for The Dark Eye) this will be available in Englisch soon, too. At least I hope. =)

Steffen, I don't believe I have met you, yet... and it's a shame! This map is mind blowing!!! The detail of the ocean alone just takes my breath away! And that border!!! I can't fathom the amount of time and effort it took to create this! I would have gone blind and cross-eyed!

I especially love the contrasting simplicity of the land against the complexity of the sea. And your compass roses are stunning! Absolutely fantastic work!
