    That's exactly it. The mountain is living and evil (in its way). So I find it fitting to do it with reddish/rusty color for its whole being - after all there is iron both in blood and in rock.
    Now it stopped being a sketch and deserves to be called WIP.
    At this stage I focus on defining the ridges, slopes, orientations and the main important interfaces.

    At last I succeeded to squeeze a few hours to advance this work.
    Basically finished al surfaces, their orientation and the color balance (especially the depth effect).
    Also improved the red-grey transition, added a first test of the waterfall and tested a few big boulders (result is that with a mouse it is really a chore).
    What's left are mostly man made or rather dwarf made elements (tower, gate, Durin's stone), some details and the lake.
    I hope to find a little time in 2 or 3 days again.

    I's looking good, Deadshade. I love the work on the lights & shadows. Looking forward to see the next steps!

    This is looking absolutely gorgeous Deadshade! You rmountains are fantastic and the colours on Barazinbar are perfect. I can't wait to see it completed.
