Okay, I am gonna try to make some time to participate in this working with section 4. My only real concern at this point is image size. Expanding everything up to the required size (100px to the inch with 1 inch equaling 5 feet) is giving me a canvas size of 4200 by 4800 with a 1.5 inch border all the way around. Unless I missed a change somewhere along the line isn't that going to be pushing the uploader limit?

Gettin close aint it ! I reckon section 10 is about 7500 pixels across. Whole thing would look good on one of the zoomy maps tho.

I guess the WIPs could be 1/2 size but maybe post the final as a set of 2 x 2 images.

OH MY GOD!!!! I was afraid there might not be enough interest in doing this! WOW! You guys and girls (and anyone in between) Rock!!

OK, so to be clear. If a section is taken and there are more people interested then double up, do one that someone else is doing. I will use whichever map gets the most votes in the stitched together map. But you will all be in the voting.

The sizes are getting bigger than I was thinking. Instead of 100 dpi, let's use the Roll20 standard of 70 dpi. That should keep the file size down, and post everything in jpg not png.

If someone wants to make the above ground map, that would be cool, BUT not for voting purposes as it would not be a fair comparison if 14 people made dungeon maps and 2 did above ground terrain maps.

And now I have to start sending everyone the room descriptions.

No need to send me the description. I have both hard and electronic copies of the module so I am good to go. 70 DPI aye aye!

Although I can't claim to have a hard copy like Greason Wolfe, I did find a wonderful online copy with "Playtest" marked on every page!
It has the same map as the one you posted, Mr Bogues; I figure it's room descriptions are probably good to go.

Given that everything has been claimed (and then some), I would like to be the official number two guy on Section #3, please.
Lasly, just in case anyone's interested, here is how the selections look after adding myself to #3:

Thanks Greason. Saves me some time.

Sounds great MB, I made a slight adjustment to your list, Azelor mentioned 11 sections, but he picked section 6.

OK, I think I got the PMs to everyone. let me know if I missed anything.

Looks like this is going to be an amazing challenge, thanks everyone!!

Sorry, I did not expect it could me misleading.

I just want to make sure if I get my math right:

Each square is 2 inch in real life.
We use 70 dot per inch as the resolution
So every square is 140x140 pixels

    Correct?

If the area I'm mapping is 30 by 15 square (I add some space square for the border, just in case)
    it should be 4200 x 2100

Hey Bogie - don't think I have my PM yet, alas.
I did find the same "PLAYTEST" document that mixerbach mentioned, so I'm not completely in the dark, but it'd be grand to make sure there's no differences between the two

    Wow Bogie! 14 already

Its good that there is more than 1 doing each section, since life's little inconveniences sometimes mean that people have no choice but to drop out, and that would leave holes in the map without others to step in.

    Watching this quite enviously

    That should work.
