there are ways to make it look right.
Add some foreground items/things that show that the wolves seem to be closer to the viewer.
Then the bear can recede to the further back area, and the scale is right.

To add to that, if the lower ground lines actually obscure the square of the map edge.. that would help.
Thanks John, those are some good suggestions. When I get back to the border I'll try them out

Okay, so I haven't had much time to work on this lately, but I've managed to make a little bit of progress in the last few days. Here's the latest update.

So many fantastic entries this challenge! Great start Wingshaw...your expertise in urban development really shows here. I absolutely love the organic layout of the city and with the different wip steps shown, there's a lot to learn from it. Looking forward to see what you'll do with the hot springs and the snow around!

Obviously, a city takes a long time to draw, but the result is so rich and beautiful! And you added so many details.... It's amazing!
I hope you'll find the time, because we really want to see it finished, with the colors and images of the buildings!

Thanks Abu. I always enjoy the chance to make an urban map To be honest, I'd nearly forgotten this is meant to be a snowy landscape. I have no idea how I'm going to make that show...

Thank you Jo Yeah, cities are massive time-sinks. But they are so enjoyable to create

    Thank you Naima

I've had a bit of time to work on this lately, so here's ab update. Just continuing to plug in the buildings. I've also refined the bear a little bit.

I'll keep working on this map until the deadline, but I'm definitely not going to get it finished in time, unfortunately. I'll do my best to complete it afterwards though

Oh, could a passing CL change the name of this thread to "February 2019 Challenge: Town of Geiribyr"? Thanks

I somehow missed this entry. Those buildings are marvelous. Nice overall layout as well. This looks like it will be a ton of work, but I'm eager to see how it progresses.
