This is looking really awesome Marc! It’s coming together nicely. I’m really liking your icons and the roads and such you’ve added. I always say once you hit this point it shifts from being a landscape to a map with a story. Just looking at it I start to think of different stories just based on the towns and their names.

    Can’t wait to see more!

Good work so far. I'm definitely enjoying this.

One thing though, the labels look nice and all, but the legibility is not easy on the eyes. It takes time to figure out what letters are present. (Just a heads up.)

Keep it up, this is already turning out to be a cool map.

Thanks for the heads up Xcali! I am aware Blackletter inspired fonts aren't overly used in maps but that's exactly why I choose it. I did raise the contrast a bit for now. Will see where it takes me further down the road

Been a busy day, added some more Blackletters and a bucketload of other bits and bops:

I don't think it has anything to do with the opacity or color of the text, the characters themselves are harder to read.

BUT the shield icons with that font looks real cool actually. So there is that. (I love the art you made for them too.)

    Thanks for the compliment Xcali

    Latest update:

I've adjusted parts of the map behind the townlabels to improve readability of the font and added a few additions to the landscape.
Also started on the titlebox of the map (so it's colors are still rather flat)

I didnt scale the map this time so people can take a closer look at the details (if interested offcourse)

Hi Marc. This looks good, I like the clean and consistent look of the map. Great job!

    Thanks for the compliment both!

The end is nigh for this map! I've added a few labels to the waters, the compass rose and started work on the last area (Hic Sunt Dracones).
After that it's touch ups and bits and bops
