Those oxen driven "machines" could be used for several things.

... In this case, it's a sugar cane grinder - used both in Brazil and the Caribbean islands, in locations where waterwheels couldn't be built.

Sugar cane, however, isn't a suitable crop for our Guild City...

    Thanks Pixie

That's the sort of contraption I could draw as being larger than a dot at the scale of the map, albeit still quite small, but I'd have to have about a hundred boreholes and windmills drawing water all day long to grow sugar cane

There is all kinds of stuff going on in my head right now about various different contraptions. I'm hoping to make this quite an interesting map, even though the area outside the wall will be largely agricultural in nature - aside from the applicant's camp.

It's been so long since the last update, when are you going to stop holding out on us Mouse? I need my fix!

    Hey QED

    I'm still here... kind of

Real life is the problem. I also have the flu! So I'm just waiting for the third thing to go a bit wrong and I'll have the full set of three

That's why I've been a bit quiet just lately, but I will be back.

    Thank you, Jo

I'm only just developing the full blown symptoms. I had the other flu before Christmas (there are two of them in the UK at the moment), and was only just starting to feel nearly back to normal when I went down with this one a few days ago.

Now that I am something of a connoisseur, if not an expert in the matter, I can safely say that this second wave is the worse one!

Next winter I'm going to stock up as if I'm expecting the apocalypse, then I won't have to go food shopping while I feel like the proverbial.
