The terrain drawing is looking wonderful, and those forests are perfect for this style.

Haven't had much time lately to work on my map so I'm trying to get stuff done little by little. Added some features and lightened the water/river colors. Did some labeling and putting in towns and cities (still have to name them). I also divided up the holds into clan territories and am working on naming those as well. I'm going to post two versions of my map. One with the holds tinted different colors as I want to see what people think of it or if it should change or be left out all together.

Advice, suggestions, comments always welcome Also, I've been working on the map double the normal size so I resized it back to the original size to see how it looks. If you see anything amiss now that it is smaller please let me know.

And below is the map with the Holds tinted different colors. Let me know what you think.

I love this map so far! Has a very good orcish feel.

On the tinted version, maybe the neutral version is a bit too yellow?

That sea monster though, looks like he's leisurely taking a stroll through the ocean.

Thanks. I think you are right and I can tone down the yellow.

The sea monster was a quick drawing I did, not very good, I know, but I may take another whack at it. I wanted to get something in there to show why it's the Fang Dreaded Sea. And I didn't want to just download something off of google for legal reasons.

I'm not sure, I think I actually like the untinted one better, but it could be the tints are just too opaque. The tinted one is more informative however...

I actually prefer the untinted one as well, (maybe because that is what I've been working on all this time) but I was worried that when all is said and done, and the world map is stitched together, it might be confusing what hold is what (didn't want to make the border lines too thick). If I keep it untinted, maybe the Hold labels could be bigger? I kept it the size it is until I have all the labels in and I can see how it fits.

Yep, I would agree - the untinted one looks better to me.

So have another update. Trying to get some labeling done, but have more to do.

I'm not sure what else I should add or if labeling, and maybe adding a few cities, will be it. Any suggestions? Am I leaving something out? I feel like it needs something, but I'm not sure.
