I can't speak for Diamond, but it looks to me like the Great Inland Sea empties into Lake Gathlos and thence into the Gulf of Khalvoa.

I do think the blue "contested areas" is deceptive, it took a while for me to realize those weren't the lakes.

I'll work on adding some more contrast to the seas. Problem with that is that if I add rhumb lines, etc, it'll look too busy and detract from the land.

Excellent! I do agree with Chick about the color of the contested regions, though.

Changed the color of the contested areas; I hope no one reads purple as lakes. All text done, I think. The only thing left is to show the placement of various armies (which is what that last box in the key is for, by the way).

The change is good, really looking almost finished.

Army units added in. Now that I look at the whole thing, I wish I'd just concentrated on showing the front(s) and the various troop placements, but too late now. Still, I'm rather pleased with how this turned out.
