Apr / May 2016 Lite Challenge: A Ghastly Rest

Interesting and well done so far, but a bit dark, I'd say. Night camp?

This is looking quite scary and I'm loving the backstory. Keep going!

That sound. It had been a long time since it had heard something like that. What was it called. It concentrated on the humming, not regular, but in small thrusts... talk.. yes, that was what it was. A pain flashed through its skull, a terrible terrible headache just behind its right eye. It opened its eyes and saw the small campfire, shadows clearing up into three shapes around it... humans... it hated humans... humans had... had... It started to rise but it was a strange feeling, like the body wouldn't respons properly. It blinked again lifting its head on its sinewy long neck and looking down on its own skull. Panic, anger and memories of a dreadful human planting a sword in its skull came back in a dreadful rush.

Finally got around to working on the main feature of the map. Not an illustrator but I'm doing my best - still needs rear legs, and a rib cage.

hmmm was going to do a special post for my post number 5000 but it seems that I've passed it by... well.. on to 6000 then

Ahah, so that's the horrible bridge you referred to earlier. SCHWEET!! I can't imagine trying to cross a bottomless pit on a dragons spine!
And it is coming back to life ! ! AWESOME ! !

Uh oh! Oh wow, tilt...an undead dragon?!? And I thought I was being wicked with my little lake .monster!!! And that's the bridge??? You have me on pins and needles here! I HAVE to see it finished!!! Don't keep us hanging!

On a side note... I'm not EVER coming to this campsite! Nope, not in a million years... Lol

I've got a sensitive disposition. This thread is too terrifying for me.

On the brink of sleep Garamon sensed a chill down his spine and hear his Gods voice in a whisper in his mind. He sat up in his bedroll just in time to see the ghastly image of a semi transparent dragon scramble up over the edge of the chasm and look at him with yellow glowing eyes. "Wake up!", he shouted to raise his companions as he kicked the bedroll of him grabbing for his sword as the words to turn undead formed in his mind. As the dragon moved forward the other was waking up and grabbing weapons a small scream from Railan when he saw what they were facing.

So - last day of the competition and not nearly done, but now the dragon and the actual camp is done at least - if I have time I'll give the mountains, ground and chasm a small overhaul, but its ready for play at least

Channeling his God Garamon lifted his holy symbol and put his will into turning the evil apparition before them. Not even a flicker from the dragon, he hefted his warhammer sensing his comrades beside him. The dragon opened its mouth and charged them although no sound came from its ghastly feet touching the ground.

Managed to get some more details into the map, some more shadowing of the rubble and bedrolls and some work on the mountains as well. Pretty satisfied by this map - and feel free to download if you need a battlemap for your personal campaign
