Good hints tiluchi. You are right with the dark colours with the parchment. And even with the grey lines. I will erase them. They are just a kind of relict from the colouring process

I think this map looks great and it reminds me of the Feroe Islands in a subtle yet ever-present way. The colors are well balanced and the whole thing strikes realism and sparks my imagination at the same time. I really love it.

But... when zoomed in a few things aren't quite as well composed. I second Tiluchi's comment on the gray lines and I also feel that the gray&black rock walls (are they rock walls?) are a bit too strong in comparison to the rest of the map elements.
