If I tried to get that much elements in one of my map it would look like a map drawn by a schizophrenic rabbit on cocaine (sorry for that disturbing image folks). I'm pretty jealous !

    A fantastic beast, I'd say !

This is a full epic world you're working out. I'm certain it's gonna be spectacular. The parts you've detailed are already so diverse and full of details...

As the other have said, maybe an oval shape would be better.
I mean you could cut the top and bottom to finish in time.
It is (: Maybe more than it should be, but it's a fait accompli, so gotta keep at it.

    Its fabulous, John!
    Hehe, it's Mouse sized.
I made the terrible mistake of working at 200%...

I like the coastline a lot. How do you decide where to lay the little archipelagos and islands splitting off? They turned out very nice!
    Thanks ST (:
The islands and such is just a thing of practice and getting used to placing them.
I try various locations, sometimes erasing and replacing them.
They don't always look quite right so i fiddle until i am satisfied with them.
I look at a lot of satellite images too.

Seriously, man... I've seen tons of your work already and still I find myself constantly in awe of you drawing skills. I can already tell I'm going to love this map to pieces.
I am insane... or i have too much time... or some other variant.
This one is going to push me a bit further, i think.

It is a slow process and one that you have to work into.
It's a balancing act of detail and some blank space.

I'm following your lead with diversity.
I'm experimenting with some new ones here that I am liking.

Oh, totally forgot about the update
I am trying to work as fast as possible without agitating that tendinitis, but it's not easy.
I did get a good bit done today though. Happy about that.
Hopefully I can keep up that pace, though it's not likely.
