    Yep - that's what I meant when I said 'insets' before - wrong word! Thanks Snodsy

    Thanks Fol2dol .

    Thanks a lot for the explanations, Snodsy ! I wouldn't have found this before a long time... And it's way better now.
    @Snodsy & Mouse : well, I may add close ups... if I have time.

    Here are a few tests on drawings and colors...

    Flipping heck, Ilanthar. This was already looking good when I last looked at it, but just checking back through the threads I missed, it's going to be really awesome! Can't wait for the next update!

    Thanks again, guys !

    @Thomrey : it's the default settings of SK : the 8th of November, at 13h30.

    @GLS : and here it is .

    I'm doing more tests about colors. And I tried to "smooth" the topography and shading of the hills. Does it works?

    I love where this is going, and the colours are really nice so far. Giving it the hand drawn outlines is brilliant, I would love to make something like this one day, I'll be impatiently waiting for updates on this one. I'm sure it's going to be excellent when it's finished.

    I feel that this map will be epic! I love the deep impression and the Cinemascope aspect you gave to this scene. Looks like a preparatory sketch for a historical picture. I will follow this work with great interest.
    A technical point : what is the size of the image you are working with ?
    The topography looks good to me.

    The smoothing is working so well that although I can't yet see the actual form in the lower half (I think my brain is failing to recognise shapes from just the shadows there), the land at the top is looking great
