Congrats Mouse, I was really wondering how you would finish all those pearls. It was like you had chosen to do 10 challenges all at the same time. Once you had cut it down to the 3 and reformatted the map then it was clear to me that you had this challenge in the bag. Each pearl was a super rendition and the overall effect was great too. You could print that one out and have it as a poster !

    Oh me oh my!

First off - if I sound a little serious to you its because I had to cut the smiley faces to post this comment! LOL! (10 is apparently the limit in any one post)

Thank you all so very much

I am in a state of shock and a little speechless, since I really believed that Falconius (who unfortunately wasn't able to finish his map), Jo, Ilanthar, Redrobes, or for that matter any one, two or three of all the other completed (and uncut) maps would win. I really thought that people would be disappointed with me for hacking the number of Pearls down from over 20 to just 4. Never thought those 4 would actually win

    WOW!

    Thank you!!!

    Thank you D *smiley face*

After a year of being just little old Mouse with no bling at all, I really thought it would never happen. I still sometimes fail to recognise myself on the forums when I'm reading a thread. Mouse with bling? Nah! Must be someone else with a similar avatar LOL!

Thank you Bogie. Colour is my 'thing'. I'm really happy about being able to share it with you *smiley face*

Thank you! I've got to watch I don't clink as I wander around looking at everyone else's maps these days! (Please don't tell on me, but they're really useful to stack up and stand on when I'm trying to get a good view past everyone else's feet *winkey smile* )

Just watch out, i know you like those challanges, but one more gold compass and you are done .
I know you did! And I'm sorry I didn't believe you. Thank you *smiley face*

Is there a limit on gold compasses? (not that I am making any assumptions about winning another one at any time)

Thank you, Thomas - I love it when I know other people are getting enjoyment from watching one of my maps grow. It makes me giggle when I think of you raising your eyebrows and chuckling along with me at all my silly mistakes *smiley face*

Thanks Ilanthar *smiley face* I still say your space backgrounds put mine in the shade!

Ummm... *whispering aside for a moment* Just supposing I was willing to consider it.... which I'm not, of course... I mean I would NEVER... but if I was... what do you think the gold and silver exchange rate is for cheese around here?

And Jo! Thank you for congratulating me earlier - before the vote was even done with. You're a solid good chap, and I do hope you are feeling better each day *smiley face*

Oh Red! You've ninja'd me again! LOL! (Mind you, I was having trouble with the smiley face limit on my post for a while)

    Thank you! So was I!!!

I did sort of give up hope at the point where I cut all the lesser pearls out of the picture. I thought everyone would see it as a 'cop out', but apparently not

That's a really great idea - the poster. Thanks. If I finish the novel and publish it I'll look into having this, or a bigger version with all the other pearls added back in, done as a poster for sale on the website for the book - reduced price with each book purchase

    Thank you, Straf

Thank you also for having the original idea for this challenge

And it looks to me like I have forgotten myself in my moment of glory - forgotten to mention just how wonderful all the other maps are, and how great it was to be part of the challenge with you all. Well done everyone!

All who didn't quite manage to finish in time, please do. There were some totally absorbing maps coming along really well. And then when you're done...

***Don't forget to upload your maps to the Finished Maps forum***

Go on! I'm waiting for you. Don't make me be all alone now that I've got used to having you all around

There is for light challanges up to 3 compasses and i assumed gold limit is also up to 3, but it seems i was mistaken. Nevermind then. Carry on !

LOL! Its confusing sometimes for me as well. I think that's because there's usually so much activity going on, in and around the challenge threads - a busy atmosphere

I promise I will carry on trying, but that's more because I enjoy all the excitement than anything else

@Worcestor - sorry, I think I spelled your name wrong somewhere. Its because we have a city called Worcester in the UK (pronounced Wooster, sort of a bit like Rooster with a W and not such a long or deep'ooo' sound), so the fingers remember the city spelling parrot-fashion, because its not spelt anything like its pronounced. I will try to remember!
