I do hope so, or it will be the shortest thread I ever started! LOL!
I'd like to map all or part of 'Guild City'
I'd like to watch people trying to map 'Guild City'
This is a bad idea, please don't use it!
Thanks Mouse I hope people put some interesting architecture pics in there too.

Great idea! Can we also post landscape/vegetation pictures?
Yes please
Could someone remind the details about the shadows?

And we decided on 11 am-ish shadows to keep them within our district boundaries

I know mine are a little long, but I think one of the best visual elements to use in a map with a TOP DOWN view are the shadows. They allow you to represent items that aren't understood from the top down view point. For instance on mine I did a shadow of the Aquaduct which shows the arches, and there were other places that I used it to my advantage. My two cents worth.
So are mine! The only thing you really need to take care of is that you don't lose any at the boundary. I've been careful to design the layout of Atlas Ward without any really tall buildings at the south eastern extremity to avoid it (which was really easy, since that's an area of water).
I'm having to be really careful where I put my mesas in the new section just so that I don't make any long shadows that fall outside the area. I've also got viaduct shadows to consider for the 'flyover' road between the mesas.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a north west orientation means that it is a setting sun, no?
We would need to have pretty long shadows unlike the ones at 11 AM that are short.
