Good colors and good choice for the sun! I also believe -JO- has a good point concerning the river (now I see it ). Other than that, It's really top notch!

Thanks for the feedback -JO- Ill see what I can do about the meandering river. Et merci pour le passage au français

I bumped into some kind of an obstacle with shadows. Here's what I got, what do you think ? And I added some texture to the red rocks.

PS : You ninjaed me Ilanthar, I didn't see your post. Thanks man ! Although, it seems half buried statues are pretty common these days

Another one ! Corrected some colors and added texture to the whole rocky thing. Hate my wrist right now !

    Next steps :

    - adding rocks on the plateaus and at the base of the cliffs
    - temple details and colors
    - vegetation
    - river correcting
    - Mother F***ing shading ! (sorry, spending the whole afternoon drawing the rocky texture made me lose some mental health exactly like a meeting with a non-euclidian creature).

What a work with the textures !!!! And it works very well !

Excuse my "noobish" question : for the shadows, you're asking about the choice between the greys, the reds and the oranges or about the differences of stenghts ?

If it's about the colors, can you try a mix of grey, blue and Bordeaux ? "Lila foncé ou mauve foncé"... In my mind it's The Colors of The shadows in navajo's desert... But it might be just my mind...

And I like a lot The mountains at the horizon : good perspective

Last question (tell me if I talk too much) : shouldn't be The temple caught a little bit in the sand too (regarding the statue) or maybe I've missed an explication in the previous posts) ?

I think the linework and colors are done. That's the first time I draw something this finished, that feels strange ... I'm pretty excited by this month challenge and I think I'm not the only one.

Next : shading, labeling and if someone has any idea about a frame, I'm totally open to suggestions as I'm really not inspired. Don't know what could fit with this kind of map ... Tell me what you think.

Really great !!!!! Excellent work on the first plan, with forest and the village ! that adds a lot to the map, which tells now a different story !

For the frame : why not pick some egyptian hyroglyph ? Some divinities profiles ? or just "text" in hyeroglyph ?
    Might be to obvious ?

Or, but it gives a totally different aspect at the end : make this map a lost map from a lost place ? An old papyrus, with torn edges, holes and a very old texture ?... Then, it would be a shame to do holes in such a beautiful map !... and, I realize as I read myself that it's not really a map...
Sorry... I go back to my work...

    Anyway, that's really beautiful !

Looks awesome, the detail in the mountains are amazing.
I think the forests need some work, compared to the super clean and detailed linework of the mountains the forests don't match up.
