I really like this map, it does look like it should be interactive!

... and I'm happy to see I made it in as a coastal city.

An ellipsis is generally used to indicate that words or letters have been omitted.
So I'd say an ellipsis would be appropriate here.
Of course, if it throws your spacing/formatting off...

Okay, made the change to an ellipse, plus some other minor changes. But now I see the world map is darker than I want it to be, so I will fiddle with that later. I'm not sure how that happened, as I didn't change any layer settings (well, not that I'm aware of, clearly I did something).

First, here's the full world map, for anyone who would like a better view:

    And now the

Hmm, the last post didn't pick up my WIP tag, probably because I posted it second. Let's try again:

Wow, this is looking impressive. So many details. The world map in itself is great, and the overall thing even more so. Well done, and thanks for the mention!

Thank your for posting the flat map.

It's a LOT easier to read.

If the UI was working right, you'd get the flat map as an easy-to-read pop-up screen. ;-)

It seems like those software guys are always late.

I used to do embedded software and I couldn't start doing the control algorithms until the
hardware was functional, so I ALWAYS was on the critical time line at the end of the project.

This probably needs to be final, as the job, wife, and dogs all have needs that will keep me away from Photoshop. I'm re-posting the basic info about the map so that there's no need for anyone to scroll back through this thread.

This is the first time that what I saw in my mind's eye when I started the map matched up with the final version almost perfectly. It's also my first sci-fi map, which is totally outside of my comfort zone but it was really fun to work on. This is also the first time I didn't start a map with pencil and paper. However, everything except the galaxy (which came from NASA's public images) and the beginning on the moon (which started as a photo of a slice of Swiss cheese) was first drawn by hand using a Wacom Intuos tablet, then manipulated further in Photoshop. The font is Montalban, available from dafont.com.

Most of the text on the left side is a nod to the Guild's website, including the number of Guild members (shown as the number of settlements), website menus, and the names of site leaders. The area and population are from the Donjon demographic generator that Diamond linked to for the April 2018 challenge. I included as many Guild member names as I could without making the maps too busy; the flat world map has more names than the planet view, with some others scattered throughout the non-map areas.
