We think of them as ancient, but the youngest is less than a century old.

I thought crater was likely, but the youngest, on Earth at least, is 200 years old.

So, I'm guessing map an island. The youngest islands are pretty recently created, by volcanic activity in the Pacific.

I think crater is probably closer based on the last two hints and I was practically abandoning hope for mine on hint 2 but with that last one ill stick with my volcano again.

I really wanted to guess "an asteroid" after the first two hints, but I think those are all really old, so instead my guess is

A giant (Redwood) tree
