Are we going to get a whole story as the map is developed? I'm really enjoying what we have so far. And the map's not half bad either.
On a spring day in the Year of the Five Ascendants, the Cingulum was activated by the Geirtomagus* Aslechyus and his team. Things went immediately ass-up when a huge tentacle covered in screaming mouths came through the portal and snatched Aslechyus. His team tried to shut the Cingulum down, but to no avail - something on the other side had taken control and was steadily expanding the aperture, allowing... things... to come through.
*think 'Technomage' and you'll be on the right track.

Does the name Qanat have any significance? I ask because a qanat is an underground aqueduct in the middle east.
