    Map

Here comes the ### Latest WIP ###

    Stevensonia.jpg

And it'll most likely be the last update. It's a bit heavy as it's a better quality file than the former I posted (the original was A3 scanned at 600 dpi as I might do something with it) and you can print it in A4 if you fancy.

This challenge was a blast as it allowed me to push myself with a tool I wanted to master but dreaded the results AND I finally drew what I've wanted to draw since J.Edward posted his Thurian Age map. For all this, a huge thank you to Bogie for the challenge and to J.Edward for being such an inspiration.

Most of the names are strait from the source, some others (too few in my opinion but I did what I could) are a bit more hidden with winks to some (CP, if you're reading).

Big thanks to all who commented here, you helped me give a better map.

Fun fact : I waited pretty long to start the map after the first sketch as I feared to ruin everything with each stroke I'd lay on the paper, that's why I wanted to do a very thorough pencil sketch before inking. I ended up sketching some ugly looking mountains with my pencil, a rough of the coast and did the whole map almost directly with inks ... sweating my fear out in the process

    Cheers !

Looks good Thomas. Labeling is much more legible now even for my tired old eyes. And are those wastes for me? If so, thanks. My collection is almost complete now.

    @ Straf : you, indeed, became a capricorn, a goat/mermaid

@ Bogie : as it's only one word, I'll assume you say it twice and be happy with that.

As I said, the map is done but it's no reason to cut it on the criticism. I need to progress so, if you fancy, take out your poison and acid loaded quills and search for the mistakes/bad choices and other not working parts. I won't touch the maps again unless maybe for later coloring but I'd love to know where I messed up.

    Cheers !

Criticism? Seriously, even if I tried...
I love that scroll by the way. Really awesome
EDIT: Oh! And later colouring would be great!!

Oh dear, some days without looking into the forum and all the maps of this challenge just go *puff* from amazing to breathtaking. I have no idea how to choose.

I totally understand your fear to ruin the map with one stroke. It was the same for me and sometimes I just wanted to type Ctrl Z so badly ...

    J'adore!
    I really like your lettering!
And the map is brilliant with something that reminds me Méliès' Voyage dans la Lune
