My first thought was if you could work in some bones and a skull with a crown, maybe bottom center.
But that might not fit the look. Oh, definitely a sword with title would be nice and appropriate.

Yeah, that could look pretty good Sap. Any ideas yet for the border?
I thought of one that could look nice but I'm not sure how you could do it without having to draw the whole thing, and that would just take too long.
Might look too heavy too. A lot of people like a lightweight thinner border. I was thinking of something that looked like stone with spirals/sorels in the stone.
That would probably just take too long. I want to try doing a map like that. Sort of like the old Forgotten Realms title, where is looks like stone.

I'm not really set on a certain border so far. Maybe some illustrations at the corners? While the stone idea is not bad, I feel it would clash with the overall style.

Two ideas for a title shield and a compass.

While both look good - if I may say so - I think the elaborate compass doesn't fit with the primitive looking leather-on-wood-frame-shield. I guess one of them will go to the resources folder. At the moment I prefer the compass to survive.

Yes, I'd say keep the compass and change the shield. Maybe keep the leather, too, but put it into a decorative bronze frame or something similar?
