    Default Greetings Guild Members!

    Hello Everyone,

Though I've had an account for several years now I've never posted as I've always been a bit anxious when seeing all the awesome pieces created by the artists on here. I've decided to try and stop worrying about such things and work on improving my own skills by joining in on the community here and getting advice from others with similar goals.

Currently my interests lie in fantasy maps (D&D, Homebrew, Etc.) as well as Scifi (currently DMing a SW5E game) so if I post anything it will most likely be related to those fields.

I mostly work in photoshop and am self-taught in the little I know about the program. I hope to one day finally put effort into working on improving my drawing skills, but for now I like to make battlemaps with textures. If anybody has advice or constructive criticism for me I would love to here how I can improve my work for the future. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this and I hope to one day become a valuable part of the community!

P.S. Attached is one of the maps that I'm more proud of creating. It is based off of a D&D 5E Adventurer's League Module from the Tyranny of Dragons Season, specifically the fourth mission of the first module. Please feel free to let me know what you think.

Welcome to the guild! That was exactly what I did when I first joined the guild a couple of years ago and it was definitely worth it. Particularly if you run WIP threads it is the best way to improve your own drawing capabilities.
Your map here is really good though. It is very clear and the colors work well together. Keep up the mapping!

Thank you for the warm welcome, Arimel! And I will definitely check out the WIP thread and keep it in mind when making new maps.

Hi Darkwater, well done for decloaking !
I thought your map was just fine. Yes making a new WIP thread where you post the work in progress of a new map allows people to comment before posting it in the finished section. If your comfortable in taking comments then they can be good to offer ideas on how to change maps for the better. But practice is always the key of course.
