    Map Kotodama - Commission

This is one of the most detailed and time-consuming maps I've done to date, but it was a lot of fun to do! Made for an RPG group, but it will soon be available for anyone who wishes to download it. The style of the city is based on medieval Japan, and it is significant because of the disks suspended magically over the wide, enchanted river. The client wanted this city to be colorful and vibrant, so it's a bit more saturated than my other maps. They also wanted the labels to be kept to an unobtrusive minimum, so it's pretty adaptable for anyone who wishes to play it. Overall, it was a fun challenge and evoked many memories of the summer I spend in Kyoto and Osaka

That's a really good map, LizardInk! You've done a fantastic job. The only thing I'm wondering about is why the docks have entirely enclosed areas of water?

Thank you very much! Your advice was very helpful to me on this one, by the way. To answer your question, these areas are for more stable ship construction on the river's current. They are made in the "Bascule" style of construction so as to release newly built or repaired ships onto the water.

Superb work, Lizard, and congrats for it ! It's definitely an unique town you pictured, and it would be really interesting to know its story !
I really love the light effect of the compass : lovely touch !

Very nice map. I like it a lot. You've done a good job with the saturated colours. It looks great.
