    Wip Ivorell Revisited

I'm currently working on a new version of Ivorell, in the style I used for Tilvarel Valley. It's meant to be a prop for a D&D game I'm running.

I wan't entirely happy with some aspects of Tilvarel, the wonky perspective being the most obvious one. I'm also going to try colouring it by hand for a change, but I'll still make a good scan of the lineart first, just in case.

Look forward to this one, loved the Tilvarel Valley and your line work is really well done, I'm sure I'll be repping this one soon, thanks for sharing.

Been afraid to even touch (and potentially mess up) this unfinished drawing for months, waiting for a moment of inspiration and courage to hit me. Of course, that moment never came and I had to force myself to pick it up again.
I should do this more often ...

I'm having a very hard time getting the perspective right and keeping the lines consistent. Luckily, there's always photoshop

The inking part is done! (I hope. But I can always do some adjustments later).
Added a parchment background and I'm now playing around with colours to get an idea of what I want.

This is such a beautiful drawing. The lines are so delicate and precise. I'm not surprised that you were afraid to touch it again after leaving it for such a long time!

There is only one thing I don't like, and that is the parchment. The contrasting blotches and splotches threaten to overpower the beauty of the map by being just as dark and prominent as those lovely delicate ink lines.

Less contrast on the parchment layer?
