Well... Here I am again xD

My name is Judy and I just joined the forum actively. I don't have any mapping skills, but I want to learn and that is how I got to know the Cartographers Guild!

You might be asking why the nickname. It's because I'm a huge fan of the Harvest Moon game series and i'm the admin of a brazilian blog called Harvest Mooniacs AND, i'm using it's e-mail

It's nice to meet everyone! And I hope to learn great things here

There are a lot of good tutorials you can try out.
Here's a good introduction thread with some quick start things.
And here's a really good tips and tricks thread as well.
But you can always start a map and ask for advice.

From there, go to
Hand Drawn Mapping for the Artistically Challenged: http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...ad.php?t=10655

Once you have completed those two tutorials, you'll be well on your way!!

I read some tips e though I'm just starting, I am looking foward to these tutorials you sent the link, though I tried Gimp and am getting familiar with the software, I still prefer photoshop mapping and am extremely happy that I had some results. Soon I will try the hand-drawn map

Actually I saw the fantasy mapping guide as soon as I entered the community and I am following the step by step Fantasy Cartography with Butch Curry tutorial. I liked it very much
