Default Water color illustrations in Photoshop

Tinkered a little with PS tonight and thought I'd could share what I did - this is not for mapping, but rather for decorating maps.

    Here we go:

You can pick any picture really, but some pictures will vary in outcome depending on detail and size. If you want to match "illustrations" in the same picture be sure to pick pictures where the object have a similar size and detail.

Thanks for this. I've gotten hold of (the now legally free for download) Photoshop CS2 and was looking for map and fiction related things to do. Well done.

Glad you enjoyed it! I found that simpler pictures make the best end results - you could try different amount of cutout-layers for a different result.

Okey, so I've found the gallery where bottom three knights come from, right here

A pure gold mine! Check out the main site too: Old Book Art - everything should be public and free to use (if I'm not gravely mistaken).
