A little early in the process for critique. But looks good to start
Must stay focused...
In the deepest regions of the fjord lies the Selfjord valley. Here begin the long journey throught the mountain pass which leads to the vibrant farmlands of the east. This pass was once an important travel route for the royal mail delivery, in the old days before the faster ships took over that business.
Okay, I hope to actually finish this map. I have made so many beginnings and have so few accomplishments, so I'll have to muster all my willpower to continue on this until the bitter end.
It is a topography map now, but I plan to make symbols for settlements and forests. I'm also still in the creative phase, so it could be adjusted all different kind of ways.
Any thoughts on how I could improve this map?
EDIT: Uploaded the (probably) final version to this post.

New version. I've been adding textures (thanks to Ravell and Coyotemax in the textures thread, i've used textures you provided ). Been experimenting with scales for the small town deepest in the fjord. Thinking it will have to be a little bit smaller then on this version.

Hei hei Norge!
Okay, this is the last shout, I promise.
But do you guys think this is good enough to be called final? Is there any thing obvious I should have done different?
Cause if not I'm gonna call this map finished
Stylistically, it's very different from most of the things I've ever seen. That doesn't mean it's bad or anything, just that I can't offer up a cogent critique or constructive suggestions. The only thing that I can say is maybe change the land of Noid to something different - The Noid was an advertising campaign for a pizza company some 20 years ago.

Sorry for bumping, but I have taken up this map again.
First, I have made som adjustments for the mountains, a bit more textured. The mountains go a little more up from the ground.
I'm still not entirely convinced by the forests, and the coastline could need some fixing. Any tips on what I should do would be appreciated.
I have also made a crude drawing based on the map. Had fun making it
I actually like the "crude" drawing quite a bit. It definitely takes me back.
The forests do need some kind of texture to look more like trees in my opinion. I do really like the texture on the ice/glacier in the lower right hand corner. Something about the coastline does seem off...maybe it's the "stroke" or its color. Maybe if there was some variation in the water as it neared the shore it would be better.
