    Map Meiglid The Large peninsula!

Long time no see. And nice to meet you.
    I am Takutaku terra.

I have been drawing "Meiglid" since 2017.
And the map I was drawing was nearly completed.

However, all letters are in Japanese.
That's why it's not "Finished Maps".

I will gradually build an English version while borrowing the power of Google Translate and my old friends.
I will translate from Japanese version to English version.

But I do not understand English atmosphere.
I would be happy if you point out in an easy-to-understand English.

Below is a Japanese version of "Meiglid The Large peninsula" map.

The same picture is also on pixiv.
    It is not unauthorized use.

I'll welcome any comments from you!

The elevation map is very good.

What do you mean by English atmosphere?

Love the elevation map too! The political map is well done (and i see it maps the mountains well), but it would be nice to have it joined with the roadmap in a more clear way than dashed lines, for me!

Also, the use of Katakana for the foreign names is somehow characteristic, but fairly impractical for us gaijin...

The map looks really nice. The elevation is really looking good and realistic. Good job.

As he said it is in Japanese, hence for those who understand that language. Katakana is used not for sake of foreigners but for lone words or made up word for Japanese.

    qhqhTerra, 翻訳について、あれは考えだした都市の名前ですから、カタカナからローマ字に訳せば大丈夫でしょう。別にト ランスレータを使わなくていいと思います。
(since those are made up cities names it is not so hard to translate them into English. All you have to do is to translate katakana into roman alphabet).

    Thank you Azélor !
I was worth the effort. I'm happy.

The English that I feel difficult is, for example, the difference between "Area", "territory" and "region".
When the literal translation of these words in Japanese, are all "地域".

Also, "British Empire" is written in Japanese as "イギリス帝国".
    "Empire of Japan" is "大日本帝国."
    And "Persian Empire" is "ペルシア帝国".

Is not this "Empire of Britain"?
I can not find a person who says "Japanian Empire".
Also, is the writing style "Empire of Persia" acceptable?

I do not know how to write the empire.
This is a difficult problem for me…….

    Thank you!
The point I specifically considered is the mountain and the influence of mountains on human activities.

The combination of political map and road map. surely.
I'd like to make some variations and ask for opinions.

As Voolf says, katakana is for those who understand Japanese.
Progressing little by little, I think that many people will become a map that is easy to read.

    ありがとうございますVoolfさん! 本当に嬉しいです。
Thank you Voolf! I'm really happy.

And thank you for a good explanation about katakana.

I agree. This work is not difficult, but the problem is that there are many numbers.
I will give priority to major cities and I will replace them with Roman alphabet.

All these words have a similar meaning since they are synonyms. But they are more appropriate in certain context.

Also, is the writing style "Empire of Persia" acceptable?
Yes. You could name it Persian Empire or Empire of Persia. I think the latter is the most formal way to write it.

There is also Empire of the Persian. It has a slightly different meaning suggesting that the Empire is owned by the people. It's false, it's just propaganda.
And lastly, they could name it after the ruling dynasty, such as the Achaemenid Empire.
    "Japanian Empire".

    That would be ''Japanese Empire''.

Azelor explained it quite well. I will add some more info in Japanese so you can grasp better idea of the differences between the words.
