Default AKTEMBAAR - The Temple of the Sun of Nik'tenber

Aktembaar its the main temple of the Sun deity in the region of Nik'tenber. The map was ink sketched and then watercolored in a 8x11" sheet. The map is completed with room descriptions, top grided maps and it has a little surprise...

I am planing to continue the illustration with the underground levels of the temple (where the surprise lies) but since it's a non-comercial project I'm afraid it has to wait to some spare time.

    C&C welcome,

That's pretty awesome ! And even more when I read the presentation, I thought it was sketch up based. Wow ! I really like the oblique cuts and the suns are a great touch. Rep worthy, no doubt here !

Incredible piece of work. I actually tried to search it because I was convinced it was based off something real. Really clean and beautiful.

The oblique cuts were a pain in the ass to draw but I feel they showed better the interior rooms.

Falconius, the temple plan was 100% invented by my febril mind but, it has some logic behind. The disposition in triangle follow the tendencies of major egiptian temples. Also the lateral minor shrines are there to follow up the sun in its path in the sky (similar to the disposition of Stonehenge) and also to allow the temple's clerecy to do astronomical calculations using the big sun metal statues and the small ones in the temple's roof. I find that throw some logic (even weird one) after one design help me a lot to create and draw it.

I created it as a sort of reward for my social media followers, and to atract more. I released the ground floor and I was planning to release a new level for every 25 likes in my FB page. All of them would receive a 150dpi version of the unlocked levels... Total failure! Lot of people liked the image but only 7 liked my page so only the ground level was released.

    ------------

    Thank you all.

Nice job on this Antonio! It has a really great authentic look to it and I can't believe it's ink and watercolour, as it's so very neat!

    Definitely rep coming your way!

Beautiful line work on this, I to thought is was sketch up. It might help to label each level. Nice job.

Fantastic work on this Antonio! As others said: I thought this was done in sketchup at first. Great job!

This is a 100% crop of the first floor (obviously the grid was done in the computer)
