Map Hostage cave (My first map)

I'm not sure about the scale (people vs objects) and I didn't add any monsters there because I'll use roll20 for that. But the cages are supposed to be that big because there's a bunch of people in them. I found a better cage somewhere, but it wasn't transparent so I decided to go with this "goblin wood cage" instead. For a first try ever, I think I did ok. I used Gimp.

I think the people are about the right size. Seems so to me anyways. I like the cages, but to me it looks like they are actually pits in the ground with a wooden bar cover. I find the texture a little bit too noisy or strong for my tastes.

Yup, those are Greytale's Goblin Pit Cages. Here are some actual cages that Greytale made that might work better.

I Like this. Maybe just add a shadow and highlight as appropriate to the "walls" to make them pop, nothing over the top, just something subtle. But this is really good for your 1st map. Look forward to seeing more from you.

Nice work on your first map! I have to agree with damonjynx though, some drop shadows would really help add some dimensionality to this piece.
