3rd Map for the Emissary RPG System
It's occurred to me that I haven't actually posted a WIP thread here in quite some time, with my last maps going directly from my home drawing board to the "Finished Maps" subforum. Well, time to remedy that!
After being incommunicado for some time the lead designer at Shrike Studios finally got back to me with the details for the third map I was initially contracted to provide for their kickstarted roleplaying system. This time, it's a desert setting, with the main locations sitting cornered between the high cliffs of canyons while a sea of rolling dunes extendes as far as the eye can see to the west. As far as I understand it, it's also a bit of a siege situation, with a military camp and a lander star ship outside the western canyon walls.

Couldn`t find sleep last night because it was insanely hot (and my bedroom is beneath the roof) so I added a few things, among them a 3d model of a starship hovering outside the canyon walls.

Wow ! That's a spaceship allright ! Did you draw it by yourself this night ?
Hah, I wish I could do that! It`s a model I bought and can use under a general license. Though I have started working with Blender as that`s the only way to get all the turrets et. al. in place. Maybe in time I`ll be able to make my own models.
Though getting to know Photoshop`s 3d functions also has a learning curve.
Okay, lineart's all done, some colors have been added and the shading and lights for the rock elements (boulders, cliffs, mountains) have been finished.
