January 2018 Challenge: Panjatmun label map

I was holding off because I couldn't agree on name for the world/map, but I guess I'm not the only one having that trouble so here goes.
Decided to do an oblique view, digitally in photoshop, and this is about as far as I got over the weekend.

This view is awesome! Not sure about the the western part (a bit cluttered), but the rest of the land mass is top-notch.

Starting to paint some land details... because I haven't finished detailing coastlines so why not jump ahead a few steps.
Figuring out light/shadow direction and the right angle T square lines are for trying to make sure I keep the perspective in decent shape. First time using these guidelines but it seems to be helping so far.
I'm not sure the light direction is strictly realistic... as I think the sun would have to be pretty close to the planet for that amount of shadow angle difference... but it looks decent-ish..... let me know if it's too much.

I was hoping you'd enter your own challenge! (For some reason it seems like the people that suggest 'em never participate in 'em.) You're definitely not disappointing so far.

Thanks Diamond I really wanted to do this one and I have the time, so I couldn't not do it. Often I think people just are busy at the time or don't notice when their ideas pop up in a challenge.

I really like your Silt Sea and the Ravenclaw Mnts are shaping up nicely! I really don't know how you get to obtain that kind of painted topography, it's so cool.
