Default Sacrulea - Fantasy map commission

    Hey everyone,

This piece was commisioned by an italian GM for a low fantasy RPG campaign setting - and so my first map in italian An overall sepia map was requested by the client though I ended up with some very slight touch of color on it. As usual, it's digitally hand-drawn in PS.

Hope you'll like it! As usual, feel free to rate, rep or run away

Do you mean that using a wacom tablet (or such), you directly draw the mountains using photoshop?

Looks really great, Max. I like that slightly sunken/reverse-embossed thing you're doing with your titles in the last few maps.

Impossible to run away from this, can't rep you either, but I do like it ! I dig this organic shape of the land : it's implying a lot of interactions between the four countries to me. The light and subtle colouring is a nice touch and the shields are very well done (as the whole map).

Exactly All is directly drawn with a tablet in PS.

Thanks, I actually use it on mostly all labels. It's slightly less visible but gives a subtle aged effect.

The first request was a four pointed star shape, I negociated to end up with something a bit different and more organic

One detail that I dislike (which is common to the vast majority of maps) is the stroke on the coast being visible over rivermouths, which of course doesn't make sense

Other than that it's absolutely gorgeous as always, I particularly like the land shape, and the colour scheme works really well
