March/April/May '24 Lite Challenge: The pass of Yush Elnokt

I jump in this lite challenge with an idea of a dwarf keep guarding an important mountain pass.
The keep, once considered undestructible, was now in ruin. Yush Elnokt is the only access to a high valley in the montoins of Ironclaw. In the past a great dinasty of dwarf ruled the valley and secured the pass with a impenetrable keep. When a misterious and mortal illnes took the life almost all dwarfs, the valley and the keep were abandoned.
The map will have two parts, one with the front wiew of the pass and one with the original map of the interior of the keep.

I am loving this concept. I have always been a big fan of ancient carvings in mountains.

Thank you all. I finished the lines of the original plan of the keep. The map will be a composition of this 2 parts (the front wiew of the destroyed keep and the original plan of it).
The idea behind it is that someone who have the original map of the keep, will ask the adventurers to go and explore the ruins of the keep to rescue two magic orbs (the ones in the little chambers at the top of the plan).

Definitely a useful map. Nice work so far.

(If I have to nitpick, then maybe that half circle in the middle of the map. For some reason the crisp text next to blurred line art looks odd there. This specifically is probably not a map breaking issue, but having crisp detail right next to blurred detail can draw attention in some cases. It takes away from map immersion as a whole. For example if you found an old map and it had faded line art on it, well that is perfectly normal. But then you saw printed new ink on it, wouldn't that then make you think the crisp new ink was added to alter the map? Hope that makes sense )

Well done combining the 2 maps.
You asked if anyone spotted any mistakes. There are a couple spelling errors. on the bottom of the scroll you wrote "mortal and contagiuos illnes", it should be "contagious illness".
Minor errors, but if easily fixed, it should be.

I'm loving this piece so far Simkin. Both the maps are great and I like the overall layout and the decoration.
