Default City of Badieux - Toy shop

I started to make minimaps that fit with my flying city map.
I really need feedback before I go on to do the rest, because I feel a lot is missing. (this is my first building map)

Thanks in advance the help here has been great so far!

That's beautiful! May I ask what tools you used? The shading looks really good. Like, are you super talented with pencils, or if there some other magic at work?

Your little details are great, I would say you could add more, clutter it up. Clutter and mess are good

    Cheers,

Thanks for the kind words! the shading is just pencil and bit of toilet paper to make it blend better.
As for the clutter, I will mostly likely need to work bigger to do that, thanks for the advice!

Great work...but a slight bit of Realist detail....if your fist Floor is above your ground floor and based on your Roof Lines...The Usable floor demensions are wrong and some details don't Line up...Your windows are way to wide in the Toy Shop on the second story. The Wall With Stove is to narrow.

Your Maps look great and your Diorama View Look great..They just don't match correctly...They Way your maps are drawn you Need Straight Walls on Both Floors and No "attic" Details unless you want tp draw an attic.

I really like where you're going with these A tiny suggestion, maybe try to desaturate the background a little bit, just to see what it looks like. Keep'em coming, you're off to a good start with the city of Badieux !

Your drawings are beautiful but I have to agree with Thomrey about the background. It's just a tad overwhelming and detracts from your gorgeous linework, IMO.

I really like the extra shading on the Cheese Shop floor, it gives some of the dirty/worn/in-use look that really sells maps for me. And shading with pencils and toilet paper, hey? I really need to see how you use toilet paper!

    cheers,
    Meshon

Edit: That sounds… wrong. To be absolutely clear, I'm just curious about the technique of using toilet paper to smudge the graphite of the pencil that you have applied to the paper. Nothing more.

Thanks for that, I had almost moved on to the rest. It's quite a stupid mistake at that haha (stove would have a hard time standing at that angle . I'll fix those!

as for the background, I think I'll change it to a more parchement looking paper!

EDIT: I roll up the wet toilet paper and let it dry till it's solid then I use to shade with already existing graphite
