It's nice work, but it also just looks like a redrawing of Tolkien's map more than a different take on the map. But we all start somewhere.
Hello fellow guild members
I'm really happy that I can finally post my take of the middle-earth. The drawing is 50 x 70 cm, fully hand drawn using traditional tools like quills, ink, fineliners, rulers, compas etc. It took me around 6 months for the whole project since I worked on it between the commissions I had. A rough estimation is around 160 hrs of drawing and another 100 of research and preparation
The references for illustrations on the border are a mixture of movie scenes, photos of miniatures, and some other drawings/sketches I found online

Well, that's a fair point! Maybe should have phrased it a bit differently
Tough crowd here Strigunart, don't let it get you down. Admin should delete that nasty comment.
I find the map awesome and interesting.
Thanks for the support! Also no worries, my skin is thicker than that
Very nice, I really like all the scenes around the border. The texturing on them is great, especially the stippled texture.

Much obliged!
The illustrations are amazing!

There's nothing mean in what I said. I complimented him on the quality of the work, pointed where he could find room for improvement.
I provided some CONSTRUCTIVE feedback, not criticism.
What really isn't needed is trying to start some sort of fight in public. This isn't reddit. This site is about sharing work and getting feedback. I've certainly gotten my fair share of Constructive feedback, that helped me move forward.
