That's a lot of mountains!
Hey guys,
I thought I would start a thread to post some maps that don't really belong elsewhere. In it I'll post up some long-unfinished maps that I'll never do anything with and some test/practice maps that were never intended to be finished in the first place.
Any maps I post in here can be used by anyone under the Creative Commons licence.
The first three maps are all very similar in style and were created primarily to test the HillThing program that I was working on. These are all posted at 50% size.
The first one I've posted before but I'll cross-reference it here as it belongs in this thread -

This third one is much bigger than the first two and I've had to compress it somewhat to keep the file size down. I know it is quite pale and needs more contrast but I'm sure I would have done that had I carried on with it.

The fourth one is the result of another thread I started on here where I was going to time myself making a map and take screenies at 1 hour intervals. This is as far as I got. I was obviously in the middle of trying something out with the coasts but I guess interest waned. Perhaps I just wasn't liking the results. Or maybe my hour was up and I just never came back to it. Dunno.

That will do for now. Hope you get something out of them. I have more to post and I'll do so sporadically.
Royal: I'm very sorry for your loss, your mother was a terribly attractive woman.

Always a big fan of your colors and ambiancy.
The first one, round shaped, is very special and goes straight in my reference folder ^^
Not sure how I missed this thread, but I'm glad you've started it. Your work is glorious!
