Weather Map for TV
I'd like to see a contest that shows something like a weather forecast as shown on TV...choose any country or state you like and add clouds, sun, rain, temperature, etc...maybe over a 3 day period...
I watch lots of news from all over the world and think there are some nice looking ones and rather boring ones. The main focus would be on originally designed clouds and, suns, rain...no existing clipart allowed...also maybe differently chosen theme...futuristic TV or Fantasy or something more funny like a 10.000 B.C. setting TV...the sky is the limit...maybe include a broadcaster or presenter that stands in front of these displays and all framed in a TV set....anyway...just my 2 cents.
p.s. gif animated rain or clouds, fog, etc. perhaps?

I like the idea...a few months ago I downloaded a bunch of weather symbols for just such a thing.

A PS: A weather map may also be a great "light" challenge, since weather maps rarely tend to be very complicated (from what I've seen).

exactly...that's why the emphasis should be on originally created icons for weather features. But then again looking at the samples I provided here, you can get quite detailed in the map itself. anyway the sky is the limit. I also suggest that maybe 4 maps for each season should be provided...anyway, just something to think off...have fun!
