A while back I was asked to make a tutorial for my Star Wars - Ships of the Old Republic maps. I thought I'd give it a shot and went and made a tutorial in which I try to explain my process of making those map.

EDIT: I looked over it quickly, I'll read it more detail later.
I'm still wondering how you do your linework so perfectly. You must use a grid right? Do you have any sort of a mirror effect, so what you draw on one side automatically draws on the other

Yeah sort of. For the symmetrical ship designs I draw a straight line through the center. I draw one side of the ship and when it's done I duplicate it and flip it horizontally. The I line them up and merge them together.

Wow I haven't read the tutorial, but just wanted to say how beautiful the layout and presentation of the material is. Great job, I'll definitely take a look at it.

Thank you snodsy! I saw your Top Down Cliffs & Ravines tutorial only yesterday and i thought the same thing! Your layout is very clean and easy to read!
