Seeking interior map for a book
Hey guys. My name is Matt, and I am a writer and artist. I am also the author of multiple books, most recently one entitled Dominion of Blades (which you may view on Amazon here.)
I am currently in the finishing stages of book 2, and I am in need of a map. This map will appear in the print and e copies of the book, and it will reside online in 8.5x11 printable format, available to purchasers of the books.
Setting:
A Fantasy version of the city of Paris. More specifically, a Tower Defense run that is built over the city. I prefer someone who knows what that means.
Design Concept:
The action of the book takes place inside of a virtual reality MMORPG. In the game, the city of Castellane--a to-scale model of the city of Paris--is occupied by the army of the Hobgoblin Riot. To protect the city, they have erected a massive, 25 mile-long tower defense run that spirals around the city, starting at the game's version of the Arc de Triomphe and ending at Notre Dame. The run includes 75 defensive towers, 6 castles, a run through the catacombs, and a few other important odds and ends. Many of Paris' major attractions are mirrored in the defense run.
I'm seeking something similar to one of those maps someone gets when they visit a theme park or a zoo. I'm seeking a top-down angle, like this:

The map will be referenced a lot by the reader, likely more so than is typical.
Technical:
300 dpi minimum. Jpg, tiff, or png files
Full color OR BW, will discuss with artist.
Copyright:
Remains with cartographer.
Publisher retains right to reproduce for promotional materials and as previously posted above.
Deadline:
Flexible. Tell me your schedule. I'm hoping to be finished writing by the end of July. Book by end of August, and I would hope to have the map out with teaser materials before that. Book 1 has a decent fan following already, and I'm hoping to use the map as a major part of the promo materials for book 2.
Payment:
Negotiable. I'm a working artist, so I won't insult you. I'm also a working artist, so I hope you understand I'm on a tight budget.
