Nice map but the modern font is out of keeping with the historic style, and the outer stroke on the text is too white given the paper for of the land. I'd suggest a more archaic font.

I like the overall effect otherwise

You have some really conflicting icon styles used here. The thick, heavy-lined hills and similar trees (Keshi Forest, and others in the same style) just don't go with the other forests and mountains. And in addition to that, the cities are yet a third different style, way too finely lined to go with the rest of the icons. One of the key elements to making neat maps is constistency in style.

I do like the colors, though, and the ocean pattern looks nice.

Thanks guys! Even though these kinds of maps aren't my style, I wanted to give it a try!

I do have a thing about using multiple styles (without always realizing it), since I'm new, but I do my best to improve! Also, you're right that a different font would feel better.
