I know what you mean. I was thinking about doing a cutaway at some point but they can get kind of complex and so far I just haven't attempted it yet. Pretty cool books though.
Children's books - a great source of beautiful building cutaways.
I was at the local children's bookshop shopping for my 2 year old and came across these two gems in the history section (which I bought for her when she turns older - in the meantime I'll er..use them as references). I might try a cutaway for this month's challenge, but it does require artistic / drafting talent....eeek!

If you like sci-fi I think Dorling Kindersley has a line called Incredible Cross-Sections covering most of the Star Wars series. Don't know if they have them for other things but I bet they do.

NP. They're truly awesome in every way.I saw Castle when I was a teenager at best (can't remember when for sure) and I remember looking at it for hours on end. Pretty sure it went back to the library with a hefty fine. I think they might have made one or two of them into PBS shows (our public broadcasting or "educational" network here in the states).
