Map First Map! Any thoughts, suggestions?

    Hey!
Been lurking here for a while and decided to post this map I made for the group I'm currently DMing.
Most of the material I used was found at fantasticmaps.com (which is awesome, btw).
The maps is for a sahuagin corrupted temple.
    Any thoughts and suggestions?

    Thanks!map.jpg

    Love it.
I love the color Scheme over all.
    I love the simplicity.
And I love the Nostalgic feel to the Maps.
Did you by chance create an Unlabeled version?

    Thanks for your feedback!
I like keeping it simple. Putting lots of objects feels overwhelming to me.

Its easier to keep track of the space like this.
As for the unabeled map, here it is!

Wish I had better map icons tho.
I've been using resources from a gigantic torrent that had tons os mapping resources, but they feel out of place in most maps, wish I had means to make they look more organic, blended with the map

About the elements, not sure what software you are using, but is there a way you can add maybe a texture or color over just the elements? The elements in the rectangle room (center below the room shaped like a upside down squished "T" by the 1 door) look like they blend petty good compared to the others elements.

Really like the look and color choices you've made.

I've been using photoshop, but I'm still figuring things out.
I'm thinking about editing the elements outside of the main project to make them look less bad...
I put those elements in a rush cause we were supposed to play this map in the next session at the time.
Now that we are done with it I might make some editing just to see how it goes.

If anyone got any suggestions on how to make the elements look better I would greatly appreciate them

Its a nice piece & can be used by most any DM for sure. Not too big or too small, great for a night of adventuring! Just Monsters

Really rad! What did you do for the water, good textures for standing water (or any water in general)are really hard to find and I'd like to try to recreate what you did.
