    Default ice volcano

Heard an interesting story about an "ice volcano" being formed from a guyser in a New York state park. Google has a link to the story for those that are interested.

Sounds like a cool idea for a major terrain feature in a map if you ask me.

That is crazy cool. If you wrote a song about it. Would it be A Song of Ice & Fire?

it was NOT a "geyser" but a normal every day frozen fountain

if you want a water "ice" lava volcano
    look at Saturn's moon Titian

the "land" is frozen water ice
the "water" is liquid Methane and Butane type compounds ( LNG)

    Yeah! A song!

    There's an frozen storm, do-do-do-do-dooooo
In a park up North, do-do-do-do-doooo
Up it used to spew, then it froze - wha-hoo!
    There's a frozen storm, do-do-do-do-dooooo

(I know - a really terrible song and I didn't even use 'ice volcanoe'. Oh well.... It is stil really neat.

After looking at johnvanvliet's picture this just popped into my head "If Methane could get us places in space we'd just plug a couple of cows in and have at it." (I have no idea why that popped into my head - it just did. :-P )

Hah! That's what I get for trying to post from my phone between customers. Thanks for the correction on that John. Still kind of a cool concept for a map of some extremely cold region. Imagine if it were happening on a mountain-sized scale.

Mud volcanoes are an interesting geographical feature.

There are some not far from where I live as the crow flies, though they're difficult to get to and I haven't visited them yet.

There is a planet of burning ice. That's really cool if you want to look into it although it more of a syfy element.
