    Map The Crossing [Depicting Novel]

    Hi!

This one was hiding away somewhere on my computer. So, I thought I'd post it finally.

This was one of the veeeeeeeeery first maps I did on GIMP. In fact, I did the concept for this map in Inkarnate, but felt way too restricted by it(the beta) I couldn't just settle for 10 custom objects across all my maps. I really liked using custom objects. So, I got introduced to gimp and started my real Cartography journey. My first attempts were rough to be honest. But, I had fun and kept learning more and more. Then I joined this guild and well, here we are today.

This is a blast from the past map. But I wanted to share it nevertheless.

This was the map I wanted to add to my novel at first. Though, I felt I have come so far, I really don't feel like adding a map that still had a lot of work left do on it.

Regardless of that fact. This map actually represents an entire part of my first novel, Nights of Sambria: And the Wish of Light.
Somewhere I am going to just have to sit down and draw this map by hand.

Just a side note. As my story revolves around quite a few of the places on the map, I will have to say there is a copyright on this. Yera's Crossing is a city my characters visit in the book and the city will play quite a role in later stories, the name is definitely under copyright.

Yet, do feel free to use this map for personal use and with friends involving a RPG

    Its a pretty map, nonetheless.

But I think you have come a long way since those days, and I would be interested to see the redrawing of it

    Hehe, thank you Sue.

I want to see how a pen and paper version would come out. So, yeah maybe somewhere.
