Great Work JonPin!
I modified the Title so it fits the standard format by adding Nov / Dec 2014 Lite Challenge:
This was one of the first real maps I made. I remember being very proud of it, but it was before I joined CG, before I saw the awesomeness that can be achieved... I started mapping a lot, and have come so far, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Hope you guys like it

I think it's a great start!
So far I never tried an atlas style map, must be quite a challenge, especially if you also want to show political datas like in your previous one.

Wow, I can definitely see the progress you have made especially in your style. It still amazes me on how much progress people make with the help of this fantastic site.
The first version is simple but nice, i really like the colors and the overhall feeling but you're latest WIP is gorgeous, i strongly agree with Domino, so much progress both in your map style and on your labels!

Thank you! Here is the last one. I think the map is done.

Beautiful textures!! You should enter the regular challenges with work of this standard!
I will! Here is the final (I hope) version. The shoreline has been punched up a bit.

That looks great Jon. I agree with Ravells--the textures and colours look amazing. And definitely compares well to the original (which, truly, is a good map also)
Don't forget to put ### Latest WIP ### so it doesn't get forgotten.
